Nicholas Holt V / CMO
Chief Motivational Officer
Nick Holt is a co-founder of First Team Media and serves as the Chief Motivational Officer. Holt is also the former Defensive Coordinator at Purdue University and has been a top collegiate coach for the past 32 years, including serving as the Head Coach at the University of Idaho and the Interim Head Coach at Western Kentucky University. Nick also served two stints at the University of Southern California as the Defensive Coordinator for Pete Carroll that included a National Championship. Holt hails from the Bellarmine Preparatory Academy and attended the University of the Pacific from 1981 – 1986 were he earned All-American honors as an inside linebacker and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Economics. Nick has been married to his wife Julie for 33 years, they have two adult sons, Nicholas VI and Ben, both of whom played college football and were starters. Holt had the rare opportunity to coach both of his sons in college, Nick at Western Kentucky University, and Ben at both WKU and Purdue.

Holt has coached 32 seasons of Div. I college football, most recently as Defensive Coordinator at Purdue

Holt has had the rare opportunity to coach both his sons, pictured here, Ben Holt as a freshman at Western Kentucky University.

Holt had two stints at USC with Pete Carroll including a National Championship run.

Nick is married to his wife Julie of 33 years, they have two sons who both were starting linebackers, Nick VI (WKU) and Ben (WKU/Purdue)

Holt’s maternal grandfather was USC swimmer and Olympic Champion Buster Crabbe, who later went on to Hollywood fame as the original Tarzan and Flash Gordon.
